What We Believe
We believe in the inspiration, inerrancy, and infallibility of the word of God as given to us in the Holy Bible. The scriptures shall be our rule of faith, source of doctrine, and ultimate authority. [2 Tim 3:16 KJV]
We believe that salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as we follow the biblical command to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins, and are filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost as evidenced by the outward sign of speaking with other tongues. [Acts 1:4-5 KJV, Acts 1:8 KJV, Acts 2:38 KJV, Acts 10:44-48 KJV, Acts 11:12-15 KJV, Acts 19:1-6 KJV]
Following repentance, water baptism and the infilling of the spirit, we believe that it is needful for us to work out our own salvation with a sincere reverence for the Lord. We should yield our lives to His will. We believe that it is essential in the light of the word of God, to live a life of godliness. We do not claim nor do we expect perfection, and recognizing human frailty proclaim that if any man sin, he has an advocate in Jesus Christ. God is moved by heartfelt repentance. [Phil 2:12 KJV, Rom 12:1-2 KJV, 1 Jn 2:1 KJV]
We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return visibly, personally, and in great power to the world to receive unto himself those who have prepared their hearts as commanded by the scriptures. [Heb 9:28 KJV, 1 Thes 4:14-18 KJV]
We believe there will be a final judgement as recorded in the word of God and that the wicked and unbelieving will be cast into the lake of fire, while the righteous shall be rewarded with the eternal joys of heaven, otherwise referred to in the scriptures as the new Jerusalem. [Rev 20:12-15 KJV, Rev 21:1-5 KJV]
